Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist in Neonatology to provide expert medical care to newborn infants, from birth through the first few months of life, primarily within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This role demands clinical excellence, compassion, and a commitment to improving neonatal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized medical care to premature and critically ill newborns in the NICU.
• Manage complex neonatal conditions, including respiratory distress, infections, congenital anomalies, and birth injuries.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures such as ultrasounds, echocardiograms, and blood gas analysis.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, respiratory therapists, and pediatric subspecialists.
• Provide family-centered care, counseling parents on treatment plans and prognoses.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with board certification or equivalent specialization in Neonatology.
• Valid medical license to practice as a Neonatology Specialist.
• Minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience in a NICU setting.
• Expertise in neonatal resuscitation, ventilator management, and thermoregulation.
• Strong diagnostic, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with advanced neonatal therapies such as nitric oxide, therapeutic hypothermia, and extracorporeal life support (ECLS).
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Research or teaching experience in neonatology is a plus.
