- Assumes responsibility and accountability in the set up, maintenance, management & operation, trouble-shooting of anaesthesia equipment & machines; cleaning & disinfecting of all aneasthesia equipment / machines .

- Assists the anaesthesiologist in the preparation & administration / infusion of anaesthesia to patients undergoing surgical intervention & monitors / manages patients who are under anesthesia.

- Assists and ensures safe transfer of patient from the stretcher to the OR table; helps in lifting of patients to and from the theater; positioning /stabilizing patient while in OR table.

- Places on the safety strap as the patient is on the OR table comfortably & never leave the patient alone even patient is sedated.

- Assists in the insertion of endotracheal tube prior to the administration of general anaesthesia and in the removal post procedure and makes available the needed equipment such as laryngeal mask, elastic bogie, lighted stylet, crico-thyroidotomy kit, fiber optic, intubation scope in case of difficult intubation.

- Checks & maintains anesthesia depth is suitable for operation & make sure airway is clear.

- Monitors patient’s general physical status prior to administration of anesthesia; keeps track of patient’s vital signs after anesthesia and immediately reports any deviations to surgeon.
