A. Administrative

• Prepared to be employed as a shift worker and be redeployed to other clinical areas to meet clinical needs.

• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

• Participates in orientation and evaluation of new personnel

• Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.

• Report potential or actual patient safety concerns, medical errors and/or near misses in a timely manner.

B. Clinical

• Provides professional nursing care by utilizing all elements of nursing process.

• Assess the patient's need, Apply nursing interventions .

• Prepares and administers and records prescribed medications.

• Teach client and families how to manage their illness, injury, by explaining: post-treatment home care needs, diet, nutrition, exercise programs, self-administration of medication.

• Acts as patient advocate by supporting the basic rights, values and beliefs of the patient .

• Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.

• Records all care information (medical history, chief complaint, vital signs...). concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner on the appropriate forms .

• Perform diagnostic tests on patients to assess their condition such as take sample for laboratory work .

• Prepare patients for, and assist physician with, examinations and treatments .

• Comply with policies, procedures and guidelines of the center .

• Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols .

• Prepare rooms, sterile instruments, equipment and supplies, and ensure that stock of supplies is maintained .

• Uses supplies and equipment effectively and efficiently.

• Follow patient safety-related policies, procedures and protocols
